Choose either a street chip (pump gas), race chip (race gas), or a chip for alcohol injection. Note the '84/'85 cars with stock ECM do not have the same features. This chip is designed to work with a stock MAF, or Translator/MAF setup.

Street Chip: for use with pump gas (91-94 octane), and will also work with alcohol injection, but not as aggressive as an alcohol chip. Normal max boost is 14-16psi on 91 octane, 16-18psi for 93 octane, WOT fuel will be set up for that boost level, around 18 degrees WOT timing. For the 84/85 hotair cars, typical boost is around 11-14psi. Cars with the 84/85 ECM will NOT have the features of the 86/87 chip.

Alcohol Chip: for use with pump gas when alcohol injection is being used, timing is increased to around 21-23 degrees, boost is increased to the 20-25psi range, along with some other small tweaks to work better with the alcohol. Alcohol injection MUST be used with this chip. The calibration is made for 100% alcohol, no water mixes. Excess knock will occur if the alcohol is turned off and you go to full boost.

Race chip: for use with race fuel only, NO alcohol injection, high timing around 26 degrees depending on octane and combo, more WOT fuel for high boost. I need to know what your goals are, what boost range you're going to run, and octane of the race fuel. I can make the torque converter lock at WOT if you request it. I never set the torque converter to lock at full throttle unless specifically requested.

Typically takes 7-10 days to make the chip, so plan ahead!

If you don't own a scan tool, then this chip may not be for you. If you are expecting to improve and refine the performance of your car, you need a way to confirm sensor readings and troubleshoot. I cannot help you with troubleshooting without any data. A good portable scan tool is the Scanmaster 3 or Scanmaster G (gauge).

A completely new program for the Syclone/Typhoon! Many improvements to the chip programming to improve cold starts, idle, response, and general drivability. Can be programmed for the stock 2-bar MAP (stock injectors only) or a 3-bar MAP, although a 3-bar MAP is recommended for better boost control. Also includes the ability to read a wideband O2 system (connected to the ECM), and makes corrections at full throttle (above 10psi boost). It will also emulate the stock narrowband O2 if you have a wideband connected to the ECM, so you can remove the stock O2 and replace it with the wideband sensor.

The chip is programmed for your setup and the tune is normally fairly close. If adjustments need to be made that can't be corrected with the chip's adjustable parameters, then I do free adjustments for a year from purchase. This does not include changes to the combo (like injectors, turbo, heads, etc.), and does not transfer to a new owner.

The chip is mounted on a memcal adapter. You remove your old memcal and plug it into the new adapter, then plug the adapter back into your ECM. (You need an old stock-type memcal for it to work. The programming on the old memcal doesn't matter, as long as it was originally made for a Syclone/Typhoon.)

Optional secondary program can be put on the same chip. It is selected by a small switch on the memcal adapter.

Knock Alert, flashes the check engine light if knock retard exceeds 5 degrees
Compatible with "EGR delete"
Also includes user adjustable features.
There are 2 rotary dials for basic idle and WOT fuel control, and 3 on/off switches for some other optional features, like open loop mode, open loop idle, and wideband/narrowband simulation mode. (Currently, a 2-Bar chip does not have these dials and switches, but does have the user adjustable parameters below.)
There are other internal user features, these are adjusted using a procedure with the throttle and watching some numbers on a scan tool.

User adjustable features are:
1. High boost fuel
2. Mid boost fuel
3. Low gear timing
4. High gear timing
5. Initial wastegate duty cycle
6. Target boost
7. Closed loop WOT A/F target (requires a wideband system connected to the ECM)

The AXiS Interface device allows the replacement of the stock MAF sensor (mass airflow) with newer, more reliable, and higher flowing MAF sensors (cannot be used with a stock MAF). This is one step up from a basic Translator. It also adds the capability to tune fuel and spark advance when used with a compatible chip in the ECM. It can be used with any ECM chip in order to use a new MAF sensor. To use the extra WOT fuel and timing adjustments, a special ECM chip is required, such as the AXiS chip, or an Extender chip (made for the AXiS).

The included AXiS chip in this combo is a great, cost effective chip that takes advantage of the features in the AXiS Interface. The chip has no internal parameters to adjust, just plug it in and go! All adjustments are done inside the AXiS box and are permanent, so they can't be lost if the battery is disconnected. The base spark advance at WOT is about 17 degrees, and can be tweaked up or down using the dials in the box.
